Coaching Philosophy and Approach
At Missional Movement International our mission is to see your God-given potential realized and maximized! Whether you are seeking clarity about your vocational call, desiring more meaningful relationships, hoping for improved staff performance, or longing for greater ministry effectiveness -- coaching can and does help!
'Life' includes a variety of experiences. Some provide inspiration and encouragement, while others offer distraction and discouragement. Our attempt to faithfully live, love and lead in midst of these experiences can be tricky, as thoughts and emotions often become entangled - causing doubt and confusion. Leaving us feeling 'stuck'.
Coaching helps you navigate stages in your personal and/or organizational life when you find yourself asking: "Why don't I...?", "What if I..?" "How can we...?, "Why are we...?" It is unique to mentoring, counseling or consulting, where you expect to receive advise and answers. Instead, coaching provides you and/or your team a safe and confidential place to discover your own answers by CONSIDER-ing your present situation, CLARIFY-ing desired outcomes, CREATE-ing options for progress, and CONFIRM-ing a plan of action. In essence, Christ-centered coaching brings clarity out of confusion, while instilling confidence and courage for moving forward!

MMI's coaching services are from a Christian perspective. Together, we’ll explore how faith informs and empowers you to make choices and live in ways that are consistent with your God-given destiny and desire. We take seriously the notion that you are responsible for your choices and that the coaching relationship will awaken you to opportunities to act positively in a Christ-like manner that disentangles you from unnecessary burdens.
Our coaching approach includes: 1) the coaching relationship itself as a context for change, 2) focusing on the specific outcome(s) you want to pursue, and 3) placing you at the center of the change process. With this approach we believe you will own whatever change is realized at the end of the process and that the resulting transformation will be long lasting. We meet with you either in person, online video and/or by phone in a confidential setting. The frequency and duration of coaching sessions are established after an initial visit; Typically, sessions are weekly and/or bi-weekly for a period of three months or longer.
We see coaching as an opportunity to discuss and discover your dreams, fears, strengths and weaknesses and are committed to encouraging you to broaden your perspectives, take responsibility for your life, and take actions that bring glory to God through your life and leadership.
